KYLE, S.D., Oct. 14, 2009 -- A new film series, sponsored by the airline consortium Star Alliance and Forbes, which features Native American Natural Foods and four other unexpected and burgeoning new businesses from around the globe has been released for a sneak peek online.

The film series, titled Undiscovered Business Entrepreneurs, will be shown onboard the Star Alliance's 24 member airlines, which serve more than 506 million passengers per year. An article in the European edition of Forbes Magazine will accompany the film's official release later in October.

The portion of the series featuring the South Dakota maker of the Tanka Bar was filmed in early July at the company's headquarters in Kyle, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The project is designed to feature behind-the-scenes stories of breakthrough companies from around the globe that have their fingers on the pulse of global business trends.

"We were thrilled to be chosen as the only North American company to be featured," said Karlene Hunter, CEO of Native American Natural Foods. "It was a real challenge to get our episode shot, too, since it rained the entire four days the film crew was here."

The entire film series, including Episode 2 featuring Native American Natural Foods, can be viewed at the Star Alliance website: Undiscovered Business Entrepreneurs

In addition to Native American Natural Foods, the other featured businesses are:

Brompton Bicycles, a London company that makes folding bicycles: Brompton
