Facebook friends stare down bear with Tanka Bar in their packs
We got this great picture and note from one of our Facebook friends, Kyle Kurt Friend:
"Rosa Hires gave my kids and I some Tanka bars this summer for our backpacking trip in Canada. She thought you might be interested in a photo I took of them feasting on these as a reward for hiking to the top of an 800 foot over look of Lake Superior. Moments later we had a bear encounter and Tanka Bars may have been to blame, lol. No pics of the bear though - only a respectful stand off as my two dogs slipped away - whimps."
