Investors stop by for a visit and a Tanka Dog
Our friend Gary L. Cunningham, vice president of programs/chief program officer at the Northwest Area Foundation, stopped in at Tanka Bar headquarters today.

Gary treated himself, his assistant Jessie Bower, and Ruby Lee, program director, to a Tanka Dog lunch at the Thunder Valley-eTanka Cafe.

The Northwest Area Foundation is an investor in Native American Natural Foods. The group focuses its assets in three major areas: increased assets and wealth of low-income populations, increased capacity and leadership to reduce poverty, and improved public policy solutions to reduce poverty.

According to its website, the Northwest Area Foundation supports efforts by the people, organizations and communities to reduce poverty and build sustainable prosperity within an eight-state region, including Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon. "We focus on the work of proven or promising organizations those that have demonstrated success and those that are on the cutting edge and poised to do innovative work in poverty reduction."
