Position summary:
The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Business Manager and is responsible
for overseeing all aspects of production, inventory, supply chain, and coordinate
New Product Development. You will also work with the Sales Manager to
forecast product requirements, manage co-packing partners, and create and
manage logistics and inventory systems to insure a cost-effective and timely
delivery of products that meet our standards for quality and food safety.

Essential responsibilities include:

Supply Chain Management
Managing relationships with all co-packers and product-related vendors
Planning: working with Sales to forecast demand; preparing orders, setting
quality standards and estimating lead times and costs; develop material costs
forecasts and standard costs lists
Control: monitoring production schedules and working with the plant
managers to create reliable processes and address issues on the ground
when problems occur
Supervision: Insuring that production meets targets for timeliness, budget and quality
Reporting: creating weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports

Logistics and Inventory
Manage all aspects of supply chain logistics and warehousing to achieve
targeted service levels while minimizing costs
Manage inventory to achieve targeted service levels while avoiding stock
outs, excess inventory costs, and write-downs

Selecting vendors and negotiating contracts
Manage projects
Supervise in-house fulfillment personnel
Communicate well with staff at all levels
Coordinate new product development

3+ years' experience of supply chain management in the food service industry
relevant training and certifications

Wage: DOE $40,000-$60,000

Hours and Travel
You will be expected to work 40 hours a week. This may involve shiftwork or on-call duties to deal with out-of-hours problems.

Home Office Opportunity
Travel will be required to the manufacturing plants on a consistent basis and to
the main office in Kyle as requested.
