'Native Americans Coming Together Caring for Mother Earth'
buffaloEvery December, the Intertribal Agriculture Council hosts a symposium in Las Vegas, NV, for its members. This year, the theme was "Native Americans Coming Together Caring for Mother Earth."

Tanka team members Karlene Janis, operations manager, and Amy Sherman, executive assistant to the president and product/supply specialist, represented Native American Natural Foods at this year's event.

As part of the symposium, Karlene and Amy exhibited Tanka products and took part in Export Seminar sessions, sponsored by the IAC's program called American Indian Foods.

For nearly two years, the Tanka team has been attending food shows around the world organized by American Indian Food's leaders, Program Director Nathan Notah and Assistant Program Director Tina Larson.

The IAC was founded in 1987 to pursue and promote the conservation, development and use of Native agricultural resources for the betterment of Indian People.
