William Andrew Nelson is a Tanka fan who has been following our social media for some time. He is now promoting the Tanka brand with his fitness goals.
Mr. Nelson attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he is currently an assistant couch. He is a runner and his accolades include: being a six-time All-American in Track and Cross Country, a two-time US. Jr. Champion, 2008 Olympic Trials Runner Up (3000m Steeplechase), 2008 Olympian (3000m Steeplechase), 2011 USA National Champion (3000m Steeplechase) and 2011 World Championship Team Member (3000m Steeplechase).
Mr. Nelson said the reason he enjoys Tanka is because of the company's natural approach to the product.
"Not only does it taste great, it provides a natural healthy alternative to current snacks in stores. Most importantly for me and my recovery with a run or workout, it provides a great blend of lean protein, iron, Omega-3, low sodium and cholesterol because of the buffalo meat, as well as, antioxidants and vitamins of the cranberries," he said. "I also enjoy the mission statement of bringing back the wellness of life by promoting a Native American way of healthy living for mind, body and spirit."
Using Tanka products mainly as a go-to replenishing snack immediately after a run or workout to refill his levels depleted from training, Mr. Nelson said the most important time to refuel is within 30 minutes of a session.
"Tanka Bar products are easy on the stomach and provide quick recovery," he said.
Mr. Nelson is married to Alisa Nelson and the couple has two children -- Arabella Kennedy Nelson and Noah Andrew Nelson. We look forward to more from him as he gears up for upcoming competitions, fueled by Tanka Bar. Live Life Powerfully!
