Tanka featured in Native film night with Chris Eyre
Our president Mark Tilsen recently spoke to the Scotts Valley Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families staff and clients in Concord, CA.

Tilsen talked to them about how the Tanka Bar brand was created and shared ideas regarding entrepreneurship. He stressed the importance of focus and finding your passion.

"If you want to start a business, you better like doing it," he said.

Scotts Valley is hosting a film festival on Feb. 5 with filmmaker Chris Eyre (Cheyenne and Arapaho), the creator of the 1998 film Smoke Signals. Called "A Night at the NDN Cinema," the event will feature local and Native foods including our Tanka Hot Dogs. Organizers expect roughly 100 participants.
