The Tanka Team recently introduced the new TankaFund.org Jerky at the Black Hills Powwow in Rapid City, SD.
The booth was a success as many attendees tried and loved the new jerky in addition to learning more about the Tanka Fund, a national campaign to return buffalo to the land, diets and economies of American Indian people.
The event was also the first location to display the hand-painted buffalo hide by renowned Oglala Lakota local artist, Sonja Holy Eagle, which is currently available to win in a sweepstakes. Several powwow dancers allowed us to photograph them in front of it.

Toward the end of the powwow, the leadership team, along with their families, received an honor song in celebration of Tanka Bar's inception when it officially launched at the same powwow seven years ago. The honoring is featured in the video below.
Tanka would like to thank everyone who stopped by the booth, shook hands and have supported the company over the years.
Tanka Fund’s goal is to convert 1,000,000 acres of virgin prairie to regenerative agriculture built around a buffalo based economy. Join us in restoring health and prosperity to Native communities.
