Tanka Bar founders named winners of the 2011 SVN Innovation Awards

We just received word from Social Venture Network that Mark Tilsen, president of Native American Natural Foods, and Karlene Hunter, CEO, are among six winners of the SVN 2011 Innovation Awards! South Dakota Public Broadcasting's Charles Michael Ray happened to already be at our headquarters today to interview our founders for NPR's "Morning Edition" and got the entire phone announcement on tape.

Mark and Karlene will receive the award at the 2011 SVN Fall Conference, Oct. 27-30, in Philadelphia.

Now in its fifth year, the SVN Innovation Awards recognize the most promising social ventures and innovative entrepreneurs working to create a more sustainable world.

The Social Venture Network connects, supports and inspires business leaders and social entrepreneurs in expanding practices that build a just and sustainable economy.
